-To do this we offer ideas that seem radical because they are awesome:
1) Institute A 15% Locals Discount At Stores Like Shoprite And ACME
-WHY: Because Locals Needs A Break From Rising Costs Of Groceries -HOW: Work With Store Managers To Raise Listed Prices Tourists Pay
2) Pass A New Municipal Tax On Non-Resident Second Home Owners
-WHY: Because If You Own Two Homes You Can Afford Higher Taxes
-HOW: Work With Other Council Members To Adjust Local Tax Rates
3) Protect Tenant Rights By Implementing Rent Freeze For Three Years
-WHY: Because If You Are A Renter You Could Use An Economic Break
-HOW: Pass City Ordinance Preventing Rent Increases On Local Level
4) Use State Grant Funding To Build Several Free Community Gardens
-WHY: Because Fresh Produce Helps Keep People And Society Healthy
-HOW: Partner With Local Non-Profits Like Garden Club And CROPS
